Jamie Stewart's Xiu Xiu and Italian experimental band Larsen have resurrected their collaborative project called XXL, and have revealed they'll be releasing an album called Puff O'Gigio on December 7th via Bad Paintings. The album was written and recorded over one week, and the resulting work is set to display a broad range of sounds that are as colourful, vibrant and mystical as the titular Puff O'Gigio. The first track to be shared from the album is 'Queen of Koalas', which is a spacey and delicately clanging track bedded in wondrously droning synths.
